Bulgarian village

Personal 3D project

I wanted to recreate a surreal game-like vision of a traditional Bulgarian village by combing a few of my favorite things:
- houses made with traditional Bulgarian architecture;
- my childhood memories of the house with the chicken legs (bg: house of the witch "baba jaga"), where I was playing in my home-town Sofia when I was a child.
- old-school rusty biomechanics;
The sloped roofs in many Bulgarian villages like Leshten, Kovachevitsa, Melnik, Dolen and many others are made of rhomboid stone tiles (bg: tickli) which is a unique technique and very typical for our region. The houses are made out of wood, stone, and adobe.

The main house of the project is a real house I saw in the Bulgarian village Pirins Still, I tried to turn it into a character by giving it more personality and sad look (the eyes) and gave a meaning to the damage on the right side by lowering the left leg.

You can check more 4k renders and YouTube videos of the houses in my profile.

Hope you like it :)
